MULTI-DAY SOUTH ASIAN WEDDINGS

South Asian Wedding Photography & Film in Riviera Maya, Mexico

A Legacy of Tradition, Color & Connection

South Asian weddings often unfold across several days, bringing together family, tradition, color, and celebration. Each event has its own meaning and energy, and every part deserves to be documented with care.

My team and I have photographed Hindu, Sikh, Punjabi, and multicultural celebrations throughout the Mexican Caribbean. We prepare carefully, respect the traditions taking place, and remain present for both the expected moments and everything unfolding around them.

From quiet family traditions to the energy of a Sangeet, Baraat, ceremony, or reception, we preserve each event as part of one complete story—without losing what makes each celebration distinct.

Every tradition carries meaning.

Every family brings its own story.

INTENTIONAL MULTI-DAY COVERAGE

One Story Across Every Celebration

South Asian weddings often unfold across more than one day, with each event carrying its own purpose, atmosphere, and energy. Together, they become one complete story.

Once you share your preliminary schedule, I’ll help you divide your photography and film hours across the celebrations you would like documented. Coverage may be scheduled across one, two, or three days, and continuous coverage between events is not required.

We’ll also consider simultaneous events, different locations, and the moments that may benefit from additional team coverage.

A FILM CREATED AS ART

More Than Coverage—A Cinematic Legacy

These collections represent our most artistic approach to South Asian wedding filmmaking. With two videographers documenting your celebration, each film is shaped through cinematic imagery, emotional pacing, layered sound design, and music selected to support the story.

The final film’s duration is only one part of the experience. Each trailer and feature film is built through careful selection, cinematic pacing, layered sound design, and music chosen to support the story. The result is a carefully edited work rather than a minute-by-minute record of the coverage.

A DIFFERENT APPROACH TO VIDEO

How Multi-Day Coverage Works

Begin by sharing your preliminary celebration schedule. Photography and film hours may be distributed differently, allowing each team to focus on the events and moments that matter most to you.

01 — Share Your Schedule

Send me your preliminary timeline, including each event, location, and approximate start and end time.

02 — Choose Your Coverage

I’ll recommend the photography and film coverage that best fits your schedule, priorities, and the way your celebrations are planned.

03 — Divide the Hours

Your total coverage may be divided across one, two, or three days. Photography and film hours can follow different schedules.

04 — Refine It Together

As your plans evolve, my team and I will coordinate with you and your planner to refine the timing, locations, lighting needs, and coverage priorities.

How 16 Hours Could Be Divided

DAY ONE — 3 HOURS

Welcome gathering or intimate family traditions.

DAY TWO — 4 HOURS

Mehndi, Haldi, Maiyan, Sangeet, Jaggo, or Garba.

DAY THREE — 9 HOURS

Getting ready, Baraat, ceremony, portraits, and reception.

TOTAL COVERAGE — 16 HOURS

This is one example only. Every South Asian wedding follows its own sequence of events and traditions, and I’ll help shape your coverage around your celebration and priorities.

• Coverage hours are cumulative across all selected events.

• Scheduled coverage is consecutive within each event.

• Photography and film may follow different schedules.

• Additional coverage may be added according to availability.

Why South Asian Couples Choose Quetzal

Beautiful photographs and films are only part of documenting a multi-day celebration. More than twenty years photographing weddings throughout the Mexican Caribbean have taught me how much preparation, cultural awareness, and calm coordination matter. My team and I bring that experience to every celebration we document.

Respect for Every Tradition

No two families celebrate in exactly the same way. Before your wedding, we take time to understand the traditions, sequence of events, and people most important to you.

We work closely with you and your planner so we can document each moment respectfully and without interrupting its natural flow.

Vibrant Color & Natural Skin Tones

South Asian celebrations bring together extraordinary color, texture, movement, and detail. Our editing preserves the richness of your attire and décor while keeping skin tones luminous, natural, and true to life.

Calm Coordination Across Every Event

From intimate family traditions to large ceremonies and energetic receptions, we remain attentive to transitions, changing light, simultaneous moments, and the people around you.

Our photography and film teams coordinate closely while allowing your celebration to unfold naturally.

The result is more than beautiful photographs and films. It is one connected visual story of your traditions, your people, and the way your celebration felt.

MULTI-DAY LOGISTICS

Resort Access & Multi-Day Coverage

South Asian weddings may include early mornings, late receptions, multiple venues, and detailed schedules. Clear planning helps our photography and film teams arrive prepared, coordinate between events, and remain fully present throughout your celebration.

Resort Access & Vendor Fees

Many all-inclusive resorts in Cancun and the Riviera Maya charge outside vendor fees or require day passes for each team member, sometimes for every day of coverage. Any fees required by the venue are the client’s responsibility.

Depending on the resort’s policies, including our team in your room block may reduce or replace these fees and can sometimes be the more economical option. We’ll review the possibilities before your proposal is finalized.

When Staying On-Site Helps

Some traditions and preparations begin early, while receptions may continue late into the evening. When the schedule or size of the property makes it helpful, staying at the resort allows our team to remain nearby and move more easily between celebrations.

This option is considered only when it makes sense for your schedule, venue requirements, and overall plans.

Private Venues & Locations Without Vendor Fees

If your celebration takes place at a private venue, villa, or location without outside vendor fees, accommodations for our team may not be necessary.

Once I know your venue, schedule, and selected coverage, I’ll help you determine the most practical arrangement.

Any outside vendor fees or day passes required by the venue are the client’s responsibility. Hosting our team at the resort may be chosen as a more convenient or cost-effective alternative. Travel outside the Riviera Maya is quoted separately.

Our goal is simple: to arrive prepared, move calmly between events, and remain fully present for your celebration.
