A Wedding Weekend at The Riviera Maya EDITION at Kanai



Some weddings stay with you long after they're over. Tyler and Jake's was definitely one of them.

Two days at The Riviera Maya EDITION at Kanai, surrounded by their favorite people, with so much personality in every part of the celebration.

Their wedding weekend started with a relaxed portrait session and welcome cocktail, followed by a beautiful ceremony on the pier and a reception that turned into one incredible party.


Here's how it all came together, through our lens.

Before the Celebration


We started the weekend with Tyler and Jake's portrait session, exploring some of the beautiful spaces around EDITION Kanai.


One of my favorite things about photographing here is how the architecture, natural light, and surroundings give every corner its own character.


It was the perfect way to begin their wedding weekend, with time to focus on just the two of them before everything else began.

The Night Before


The evening was all about bringing everyone together.

Their welcome cocktail gave family and friends a chance to reconnect, catch up, and enjoy the beginning of the celebrations.

We loved capturing all those little moments between people. The conversations, the laughter, the hugs, and that excitement you can feel when everyone knows there's a wedding coming the next day.

The Wedding Day


October 10, 2026. The day everyone had been waiting for.


Tyler and Jake chose The Pier at The Riviera Maya EDITION at Kanai for their ceremony, with the Caribbean Sea stretching out behind them. It was such a beautiful setting for a meaningful moment.


After cocktails by the water, everyone moved to Forum B for the reception, and the energy completely shifted.


Their entrance was one of those moments you just had to experience. From there, the celebration kept building, with music, dancing, and a room full of people having the best time.

Why We Love The Riviera Maya EDITION at Kanai


The Riviera Maya EDITION at Kanai is one of those places that gives you so much to work with creatively.

The architecture, clean lines, natural textures, and the way the spaces connect with the surrounding landscape make it such an interesting place to photograph.


What I especially loved about Tyler and Jake's wedding was how they used different parts of the property throughout their celebration.

The Pier created a beautiful oceanfront setting for their ceremony and cocktails, while Forum B offered a completely different atmosphere for the reception.

It's a venue that allows each part of a wedding to have its own personality, while still feeling connected to the overall experience.

The Team That Made It Happen


One thing I always appreciate about weddings like this is seeing how much work happens behind the scenes.

From the planning and design to the lighting, music, and all the little details, it takes an incredible team to bring everything together.
