There is something incredibly grounding about spending an afternoon capturing a love story that feels completely unscripted. Ahead of their upcoming wedding this November, we met up with Jia and Zach in Playa del Carmen for a sunset engagement session that was, above all, an absolute joy to document. From the very beginning, their infectious energy turned the coast into a playground of genuine laughter, quiet embraces, and beautiful, raw connection.

As a destination wedding photographer based in the Riviera Maya, my approach relies on calm presence and natural light rather than forced, heavily posed moments.
