Waiting for Georgia
A tiny soul is finding her way.
There is a distinct, quiet weight to the final weeks of waiting. It’s that rare, fleeting space where everything is about to change, yet time seems to completely slow down.
Emily and James wanted to capture exactly that. Before meeting their daughter, Georgia, we spent an afternoon together at Esmeralda Beach here in Playa del Carmen. There was no big production—just the warm Caribbean wind, the low rustle of the palms, and the immense anticipation that they carry with them everywhere right now.
To me, maternity photography isn't about documenting a physical change; it’s about capturing the quiet shift between two people. It’s watching a couple stand on the absolute edge of a massive new adventure, already sharing unspoken jokes and quiet glances about the tiny person who is about to redefine their entire world.
As the sun began to soften over the coast, throwing that perfect, hazy tropical light across the sand, every frame became less about a pose and more about a feeling.
For now, Georgia is still a beautiful mystery. But looking at the way Emily and James hold each other, it’s clear she is already the center of their universe.
