Beach Trash The Dress Tulum Riviera Mayasure does sound interesting, and it was! We were so very lucky to have met Candace and Abel through a wonderful couple whose wedding story we told just a few short years ago. Melissa and Brooke live in Texas, and interestingly enough Brooke is a photographer. We hit it off immediately at Brooke and Melissa's Wedding. You can go to our wedding gallery page to see their highlights! The same story was true with Candace and Abel: Instant connection! We picked them up at El Dorada Casitas Royale, and ventured off to explore the Riviera Maya. As we drove towards Tulum, because it is our absolute favorite place to shoot, we learned a little bit about their history together.

They were married just a few days earlier in Texas in a small family ceremony that they decided spontaneously, would be in the zoo! They escaped to the Riviera Maya for their honeymoon, leaving their children at home. We also discovered that Candace also once had a deep love for photography! So they were definitely open to stopping along the way when Ches felt inspired. We started in the city using the great colorful architecture that rustic Tulum has to offer. We met a super friendly family who allowed Candace and Abel to borrow their Mexican Cargo Bike, so that they could peddle around together! We headed to the beach to get beautiful shots of the Caribbean Sea at sunset, and the two lovers were unstoppable. They jumped in the ocean and began to play like teenagers in love. The emotion was real and pure and completely mutual. One the walk back, a group of local girls asked Candace to throw her bouquet, and as happy in love as she was, Candace agreed in hopes that one of those girls would be so lucky as to find her Abel.
