Jalissa and Carlos’s story began online. And like many others, they followed a friend’s recommendation, matched, and decided to chat it up. They shared online conversations for a few weeks, exchanged numbers, and things seemed to go well. However, unlike many others, here’s where their story takes a turn! Carlos was in the military, and received the news that we was to be deployed shortly after they met. While he was overseas, they kept in touch over the phone for a whole year until he came back! They met face-to-face for the first time on Jalissa’s birthday a whole year after meeting online. They were more than dedicated at that time, and even though they lived 4 hours apart, Carlos made the 4-hour drive for 3 years before they decided to move in together. If that isn’t love, then what is? They had their first amazing child, Landon 6 years ago, and after being together 9 years, they decided to make it official. This celebration was long over due, and they had a blast doing it! Congratulations to the newlyweds!
