Kevin and Renata have been together for 3 years, and when we asked how their paths crossed, Renata was eager to explain, "We met a little bit over a year before we went on our first date at the wedding of our mutual friends. Given our circumstances at the time, romance was not in the cards. However a few unguarded comments to an enterprising close friend and the right time was all that was needed to give us a nudge in the right direction. We went out for the first time on a Tuesday and purely by chance we spent every Tuesday for the next two months together. Afterwards, we christened Tuesdays as our day. When we booked the wedding with the resort, we weren't too picky regarding dates. When they confirmed the date of the ceremony it was on a Tuesday. The cosmos assisted the Scorpio with the one detail, at once small yet dear, that she had overlooked." They had many reasons for making a destination wedding. Renata describes their thought process; "Traveling miles and hours to a wedding takes a lot of love and commitment from your loved ones, so I wanted to make it as easy as possible for them. Kevin is from Canada, I am from Brazil, these two countries are 9.300km apart to be precise! So, we are thinking the best place to meet in between, and I think Mexico was good enough, geographically speaking.The Riviera Maya turned out to be more than we bargaining for, actually! This place is gorgeous! A destination wedding is also a chance to have guests who are truly invested in being part of your special day, and for us, a more intimate celebration. I would have done it over and over again." And we are SO glad that they did! Congratulations, Renata and Kevin!
