This Adorable Family Royalton Wedding showed another side of weddings. The story behind Maggie and Carlos special day is unique! They had been for more than seven years, when they were surprised with the news of their first son Aiden. Carlos asked Maggie to become his wife, and she agreed! That was about four years ago. Now, they have been dating for almost 10 years and even though they were legally married in the US, they never had the chance to have their big day. Now that Aiden is now 4, they decided to hold an official wedding ceremony with their friends and family. Maggie says, "We love music, we love family, we love enjoying life with friends and believe that life is meant to be lived. We like to travel and felt that a destination wedding would give us all of these things in one!” Maggie and Carlos chose the Royalton Riviera Cancun as their wedding venue and it was spectacular! They had an intimate symbolic ceremony on the Sky Terrace overlooking the crystalline blue ocean. With Maggie pregnant with their second child, the joy, love, and support that surrounded this family was overflowing. When we asked Maggie what her most memorable moment on her wedding day was, she replied, "On my wedding day, my son was so caught up with emotion that he cried while coming down the aisle and ran into my husbands arms. I just remember coming down the aisle and seeing him so emotional, and Carlos holding him and it moved me to the very core. I knew that the love in that space was so overwhelming at that moment that even my 4 year old could feel it. I would cherish that moment forever”. Maggie and Carlos finished their wedding week enjoying their vacation with 60 friends and family members in Mexico, before returning to the United States to have their baby in the spring.
