Samantha + Joaquin
Family Portrait Photography Tulum Riviera Maya | Samantha + Joaquin
Tulum Street Family Portrait sessions always make me smile. But this family session in particular was something a little bit extraordinary. I first met Samantha and Joaquin back in November of 2015 when they invited me to photograph their wedding at La Cocina de Corina in Tulum. It was a beautiful beach ceremony followed by great food, emotional speeches, and lots of dancing. Samantha and Joaquin were very laidback and easygoing. It was so easy to connect with them on their wedding day! The next time our paths crossed was in April of 2017, Samantha and Joaquin came back to Mexico for vacation and invited us to make their first family session at The Fairmont Mayakoba as Sofie was turning 6 months old. Again, it was super relaxed and gratifying experience. We wandered through the grounds looking for architecture and bright colors.Everyone enjoyed playing with Sofie and the smiles never fell short. Keeping it calm, cool, and fun for everyone. And now, once again, they have invited me to photograph their growing family in February of 2018 as Sofie is now turning 1.5 years old. There plan was simple. "Let's go back to where we did our wedding photos." Samantha explained. "I want to get some of the same buildings." And that's exactly what we did. I love maintaining contact continuing to shoot couples long after their wedding day. It brings so much more joy to my work to be connected to the subject.
