Fun and Free Finest Playa Mujeres Destination Wedding for John and Kelly was the perfect way to bring their friends and family together to celebrate their love and start the newest chapter of their lives.
John and Kelly both played water polo (John at Cal Berkeley and Kelly at Stanford) and knew of each other, but they finally connected when John was in NYC receiving some awards. They had both volunteered to teach children how to swim on Saturday morning before the festivities began at their Athletic Club. Besides how dashing he was, Kelly noticed John was adorable and sweet with the little group of six-year-old children across the pool. John was drawn to what he describes as Kelly's "aura and infectious smile." After challenging her to come with him to brunch and forego her planned nap, they both cancelled all plans for the rest of the weekend so they could spend John's last two days together.
John claims that when he kissed Kelly softly and slowly at that brunch, he already loved her. So, safe to say, things progressed very quickly despite the long-distance relationship with John living in Newport Beach, California. They have been together about three years and been engaged for 1.5 of them. They don't have any children, but they are godparents to 2-year-old Riley and her little brother Nash (who is 6 months). Riley was their flower girl!
They are the children of John's Olympic Team trainer Karen and her lovely wife Rochelle, who are both chiropractors in Long Beach. They have a special spot in the couple's heart, and it was important that they be involved in the celebration.
John and Kelly have the perfect combination of qualities. They are firm but flexible, strong but laidback, organized but free-spirited, mature but silly. The most important thing to both of them was to get their people together and have a BLAST! We'll let you be the judge of that!
